Brody's 9th Birthday | Football Pool Party

We celebrated Brody turning NINE last month with a fun football pool party!

He has really fallen in love with football over the last year or so after getting to attend two pro football games last Fall and then playing flag football this summer! So we ran with the football theme and then added in the pool party since it was the end of June and it was HOT!

I ordered this 6 foot Tom Brady cut out from Party city online and we presented him as the “special guest” at the party! The cake was from Publix and all the decorations were from Party City. Brody’s big gift this year for his birthday was an Xbox that he has been begging for. He loves playing the football game, Madden.

I decided to make most of the food for the party and kept it all “tailgate” food. We had popcorn, pizza, hotdogs, pretzel bun sliders, broccoli salad, chicken wings and homemade pretzels with beer cheese dip.

He also requested mini bundt cakes and homemade chocolate frostys. My MIL found a recipe online that was just 3 ingredients and pretty easy to make!

The boys had a water balloon fight and we played a football game that turned out to be a ton of fun and the winner got a prize. I took video but forgot to get a picture of the game. We used one of those blow up football players that has a hole in it for you to throw the ball in.
