Madelyn's 5th Birthday | Unicorn Teepee Party

Madelyn’s 5th birthday fell in the midst of COVID, so we really didn’t make any plans to have a birthday party for her and were planning to just do something with family. At the last minute, I checked the availability of Have a Ball Slumber Parties and decided to have them set up four tents. It was kind of a wild time because not only did we have COVID, but we also had a hurricane headed towards us (well, we thought it was headed more towards Louisiana)! You can see us watching it on the TV screen in the photo below.

Our friends came over to spend the day with us as we were watching the direction of this storm. We played, celebrated and ate cake; but as the storm headed closer and closer to our direction, our friends had to head home before this storm hit land.

The tents and set up were so cute. They did an awesome job and even split up the set up for half girls and half boys. We will most definitely use them again in the future when we can really have a slumber party.

Thankfully Madelyn was happy with the little party we were able to pull together for her, because the next day, things got crazy and hurricane Sally came through and devastated our city. It was a mess. You can read more about it here.
