Madelyn’s 8th & Molly’s 5th Pool + Picnic Birthday Party

I can’t believe it has taken me a year to come share the girls adorable birthday party from last year.  The girls are only two weeks apart, so it feels very easy to just let them have a joint birthday.  I know it won’t always be this way, but for now, it’s nice to throw one big party to celebrate both of them.

Their birthdays are in August and September, so I guess as I started thinking about their parties for this year; and then it made me realize I never shared last year’s party!

Since they have Summer birthdays, a pool party in our backyard is always a pretty good option.  We have done several here at the house and I am always just trying to come up with different themes to do it.  Brody had a “dive-in” 10th birthday last. year and Molly had a “fishy-fourth” party the year before.

I found Marianne of Pensacola Picnic company this year and I knew I had to try to book her.  I loved the idea of her setting up picnic tables on the turf in our backyard with her adorable fringe umbrellas and letting the girls swim and have a picnic dinner.  I made the invitation on Canva and sent it to Marianne so that she had an idea of what I was envisioning for a theme and color scheme.  I had found a bathing suit that I had loved the print of and used that to guide the whole vision.

Marianne is absolutely amazing and I cannot brag on her enough.  She takes care of all the details (including flowers, tabletop decor, plates, cups, napkins, etc.) and brought my entire vision to life.  I can’t wait to share all the details with you below.  She is so kind to work with and does an incredible job.  She even will be your photographer for a small extra fee and takes absolutely gorgeous photos.  That was such an added bonus to not have to stress about capturing the day with her there!  Most all the photos below were taken by her with an exception of a few that I took.

She made these precious individual charcuterie boxes for each of the girls and then custom made the tags to go on top based on the color scheme I had given her.  How adorable is that??

She also made this beautiful charcuterie board for all the adults to nibble on as well.

The girls thought the cotton candy stand was the best thing going from Whim Cotton Candy.  I am pretty sure my girls went back for sixths!

For dinner, we passed around a chicken nugget tray for the kids and some fruit and they were happy as can be.  They also had their personal charcuterie boxes and we went with a simple bundt cake for the girls birthday cakes this year!

They really had so much fun all being together, it will make me a little sad when they are ready to have separate birthday parties again!
