We spent Labor Day weekend in Rosemary Beach which is just always the BEST! I get there and then never want to leave!! This trip was fairly last minute because Matt and I had originally thought we were going to take the big kids to Atlantis in the Bahamas for the weekend. We have been dying to go with them. We got them all passports and then when it came down to booking it, I felt like we were rushing it. THANK GOODNESS. Because guess what showed up??? Hurricane Dorian. Our beloved Bahamas got slammed this weekend and it has been so devastating to watch. So many prayers for all of those effected by this massive hurricane.
We were lucky to avoid this hurricane and we truly had gorgeous weather in Rosemary. We booked through the Rosemary Beach Cottage Rentals and they were running 30% off rentals with code Fall. I think it is good through Thanksgiving.
We often get asked where we stay and we actually rent different houses every single time. We love being in Rosemary, so we stick with that. You can read my Rosemary Beach travel guide for a complete list of places we’ve stayed or you can search Rosemary on the blog and find all of our posts.
For this trip, we checked in on a Friday and we stayed until Tuesday morning since Monday was a holiday. We got in way later than we hoped on Friday evening because we got stuck in a terrible traffic accident when we headed down.
We stayed at the Schulz Cottage this trip and I just LOVED it. I always end up loving all the houses we rent, but they all differ a bit. This one was right on the beach which was SO nice. We got there just in time for the sunset and a simple dinner! We had hopes to meet my Aunt and Uncle for dinner that night, but we just got in too late.
Dinner of lunchables, turkey, sweet potatoes and whatever else we managed to pack in our ice chest for the trip! HA!
Saturday morning was beautiful! We loved hanging out on our deck each day. I was thrilled because Molly transitioned with no problem into vacation mode. Sometimes we’ve found that her sleep is thrown off a bit with travel, but she slept great this trip!! One of the best parts of this house was the large master bedroom closet. The closet had one built in twin bed in it (which would be great later for us) and it also fit a pack N play! It was the perfect little bedroom for Molly.
We cooked some breakfast at home and our friends came down to meet us for a couple of days! We packed up for the beach, got our swimsuits on and camped out for the rest of the day!
We stayed at the beach until about 4pm which was so nice! We went back to the house to shower, have a few snacks and let the guys watch a little football. Then it was time to get dressed and ride our bikes to dinner!
We had drinks at the Pearl Hotel first and then went to Pescado for dinner. We didn’t have reservations but we went and put our name on the list for outdoor seating (first come, first serve) and then they texted us when our table was ready! It worked out perfect!
Sunday morning I woke up kind of early and decided to sneak out of the house before the kids woke! I grabbed a bike and went to town. I always love stalking all the beautiful houses and on Sundays they have a great farmers market in the square!
This cutie strolled around the market with me and loved it!
After walking around the town, we got our suits on and headed to the beach again!

Sunday night we went out to dinner again with our friends, Leslie and Kevin. We decided to hop on the bikes again and hope to find a restaurant that could seat us for dinner.
We ended up getting seats at the bar at Restaurant Paradis and having some appetizers and then walking to La Crema for dessert! Their fondue dessert is the best.
Monday morning was our last full day and our friends were headed back home. We all went to breakfast at Big Bad Breakfast before they headed out of town.
Brody and Madelyn were dying to ride their bikes, so we took a nice bike ride with the kids and ended up in the cute park next to our house. It was nice to take a slow morning and then do the beach in the afternoon.
We spent all afternoon at the beach and it was so nice!
Brody was having the best time with his snorkel. It was a nice calm day and he was able to snorkel up and down the shallow part of the beach and search for shells. He loved it!
Monday night it was just us and the town was really nice because most people had headed home. We got dressed and headed up to the square to have pizza at Southside Slice. The kids were dying to get some ice cream from Sugar Shak too, so we had to complete the night with that.
It was a beautiful sunset on our last night and we were sad to kiss it goodbye. Tuesday morning we woke up early and packed up the house. I brought the kids school stuff because they would go straight to school on the way home and Matt just headed straight to work. It is so nice to be close enough to home that we get to enjoy the full weekend!
We were so sad to say goodbye to this cute house!
